The
announcement of the publication of "Color of Lincoln" corresponds
with the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission inaugural being held
in Hodgenville Kentucky.
Mr.
Eaton has been active in supporting the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial
Commission Inaugural Event occurring Mon and Tuesday February 11 &
12, 2008 in Louisville, KY and Hodgenville, KY. As part
of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission's fundraising efforts,
it will feature a unique one-of-a-kind inaugural t-shirt that will commemorate
the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. The shirt is a limited
edition printing featuring two colorized photographs of Abraham Lincoln
from the upcoming book, "Color of Lincoln".

Taking
over three years to accomplish the digitization of the photos, co-author
Bryan Eaton says, "These are very high quality colorizations of
Abraham Lincoln images and his contemporaries. Since a small proportion
of the photos still survive as originals, the best digital technology
has been used to bring these photos to life.
The
goal of the "Color of Lincoln" is to present a new perspective
of Abraham Lincoln visually as well as from the historical and anecdotal
descriptions of Mr. Lincoln.

"Since the photos are a significant modification to the library
of Lincoln photos and give a more realistic vision of the man, I feel
that it is likely that future images of Lincoln will include the digital
color images in conjunction with the black and white historical photos."
said Mr. Eaton.
There
will be a premier publication edition of the "Color of Lincoln"
book which is currently available as a pre-order on the book website
at http://www.coloroflincoln.com.
A
supporting video documentary is in pre-production. Both projects will
be released in 2008 in correspondence to the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial
year 2008-2009.
